Over the 30+ years of her career, she has also been a television spokesperson, actress, host and commentator. Alexis has hosted several health television shows, appeared in the movie, Holy Man, with Eddie Murphy, and was fashion editor of Good Morning America for three years. Alexis has penned numerous health and modeling books, and her recent eBook, My Thyroid Journey, which details her struggle with Hashimoto’s Disease.
Bree Amer (https://twitter.com/breeamer) is one of the most well-known housemates to come out of the Australian television series Big Brother and is a current Australian reality TV producer. Bree has also hosted Big Brother Friday Night Live, Friday Night Games and co-hosted Friday Night Download, and Big Brother Up Late in 2007-2008. She also made appearances in such shows as Celebrity Joker Poker, Rove Live, Good Morning Australia, Ready Steady Cook, and Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. In 2006, a doctor noticed a lump on Bree's neck while watching her host Friday Night Live, and urged her to see a doctor. Bree has since undergone two surgeries for removal of thyroid cancer and also had radioactive iodine therapy, however, she is now healthy again and very grateful to one observant doctor.

She was a featured contestant on Bravo’s hit reality TV show, Top Chef (season 1), is a regularly featured food and health expert on CBS News and is an inspirational keynote speaker nationwide teaching fun cooking classes and health seminars. As an actress, Ms. Doss has appeared in multiple television shows and national commercials, and has been cast in several Hollywood movies, including: Road House, Die Hard, and Lethal Weapon. Recently, Ms. Doss continues to model, operate her own model agency (TDLR Model Group), and is working on her first memoir about her life journey, lessons learned, and recent hypothyroid diagnosis.
Nicole Eggert is an American actress who also suffers from thyroid disease and is happy to support ThyroidChange. Ms. Eggert's notable roles include Jamie Powell in the television series Charles in Charge and Summer Quinn in the TV series, Baywatch. Ms. Eggert has appeared on episodes of Married with Children, Boy Meets World, and Gilmore Girls. She has also played leading roles in films including Thank You, Good Night (2001) and What Lies Above (2004), and A Christmas Proposal (2008). Ms. Eggert has also enjoyed successful stints as a reality TV star on The Real Gilligan's Island and Celebrity Fit Club
Missy Elliott (www.missy-elliott.com) is an American rapper, singer-songwriter, record producer, actress, and a five-time Grammy Award winner. Ms. Elliott has record sales of over thirty million in the U.S. and is the only female rapper to have six albums certified platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), including one double platinum for her 2002 album, Under Construction. In 2006, Elliot released her first greatest hits album, Respect M.E. The record peaked at number seven in the UK charts and sold more than half a million copies worldwide. Ms. Elliott is a thyroid patient with Graves' Disese.
Angie Everhart (http://angieeverhart.com) is an American model and actress who is best known for her appearances in several Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues in the 1990s and for gracing the covers of Elle, Marie Claire, Playboy, and Glamour magazines. Ms. Everhart made her film debut in The Last Action Hero opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger. She has also appeared in the films Tales From the Crypt Presents: Bordello of Blood, Another 9 ½ Weeks, Sexual Predator, Payback and Take Me Home Tonight. Ms. Everhart was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had surgery to remove her thyroid gland.
Faith Ford (www.faithford.com) is an American television and film actress and producer, known for having played the roles of Corky Sherwood on Murphy Brown and Hope Fairfield-Shanowski on Hope & Faith. In 1988, Ms. Ford was diagnosed with Graves’ Disease. Since her diagnosis, Faith has received five Emmy nominations for her character on Murphy Brown and runs a full production company in her home state of Louisiana. Ms. Ford is also an author and has a nationally released cookbook with anecdotes and pictures that tell Faith’s story in food, Cooking with Faith.
Kristen Hertzenberg (www.kristenhertzenberg.com) is an American singer and actress best known for her role as Christine in the Las Vegas production of Phantom of the Opera. Kristen also played Sheila on a European tour of HAIR and is currently in the Las Vegas production of Million Dollar Quartet. She frequently performs an evening of cabaret with her six-piece band and has sung with philharmonic orchestras across the country. Kristen released her debut album Holidays from the Heart in 2011. She was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and completed the album just days before her thyroidectomy surgery.
Simone Lazer (www.simonelazer.com) is an American actress, writer/producer, and voice-over artist who has been seen in such series as: ZRock, (series regular) Celebrity Ghost Stories, Dare to Dream, LA Law, All My Children, Late Night w/ Conan O'Brien, several pilots, some feature films, and a few upcoming web series. Mary Murphy (www.marymurphy.tv) is an American ballroom dance champion, TV personality, accredited dance judge, and a judge and choreographer on the dance competition-reality show, So You Think You Can Dance. Following the traumatic premature birth of their daughter, After spending two years with crushing fatigue and struggling to regain her health, Julie was finally diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. Gena suffered for years with Hashimoto’s and is now a passionate thyroid awareness advocate. Alando Soakai (www.alandosoakai.com) is a professional rugby athlete currently playing in Japan. He has represented New Zealand in both 7s and 15s. Alando has won a Commonwealth Games gold medal and an IRB World Sevens Series title. While playing professional rugby, he successfully finished his physical education degree from Otago University. Due to Graves’ disease, Alando’s thyroid was partially removed in 2000 at the age of 17. He spent a year without been diagnosed, and his symptoms negatively affected his rugby and studies. Now living with hypothyroidism, Alando will take medication for the rest of his life. Alando’s ambitions after rugby, is to become a physical education teacher and continue to stay connected with rugby, through mentoring and coaching.

She authored the book Get Your Life Back (Få livet tilbage), which is the first Danish book about hypothyroidism. Helle runs her book's website, where she publishes blogs and news about treatment and research regarding hypothyroidism.
